Denise in Berlin

A beautiful day in Berlin and I was able to do a photoshoot with an amazing young lady, Denise Diek. She was easy to work with and knew how to take direction.
The photoshoot was taken at the Museum Island, which I highly recommend people go see.

Girl with a Pearl Earring - Appropriation

For a lighting assessment the class had to find a famous painting or photograph and recreate it with your own little twist.
I decided to appropriate "A Girl with a Pearl Earring". The painting represents youth and beauty, but youth doesn't last forever, and just because you're getting older, that doesn't mean you're not beautiful.
The Girl with a Pearl Earring is no longer a girl, but a Lady with a Pearl Earring.
My beautiful model was my grandmother. I had so much fun photographing her and this photo turned out AMAZING.

The lighting technique I used to create this was chiaroscuro and I used a single soft-box.
Camera was Nikon D70 with a 35mm 1.8G Lens.

The day before the Ball

These two beautiful women did an amazing job modeling for me. This shoot was taken at a beautiful estate in Mittagong. The hair was done by the beautiful Jessica Jacobs Bridal Hair and the make up was done by Rebecca Ilyaei.
The camera i used was a Nikon D70 with a 35mm 1.8 Lens.

Appropriation - Girl of the Future

For an assessment on appropriation, I decided to appropriate 1930's Coca Cola posters and show how girls of today are trying to lose weight the unhealthy way with pills and shakes, and believing that being anorexic is what's in.

The photos were taken at North Avoca Beach with a Nikon D70, 50mm 1.8G Lens.
